Professional attributes for a photographer include:

Creativity: A photographer needs to be creative. This is because the photos they take must be creative and original. They need to be eye catching photos in order for the clients to become interested, because if they look boring, the client will just move on; they need to be innovative and original.

Public image: A photographer needs to have a good public image and a good reputation. This is important as the photography industry is very difficult as everyone is trying to make a name for themselves, so a photographer needs to have a good public image, so people will choose to use them over others due to their positive reputation.

Time Management: A photographer needs to have good time management. This is vital when being a photographer as they need to know when to balance out their time, and spread it out equally over different photos they need to do, but also when to spend a long time focusing on one specific photo. This is extremely important because, if they need to balance their time and they don't, yes one photo may be amazing, but then the rest will be bad and this will not satisfy the client; but also. if they need to spend lots of time on one specific photo and they don't and it's bad because they rushed it, this will also not satisfy the client.

Focus: A photographer needs to be focused. This is a very important professional attribute for a photographer to have because, when they are taking their photos, they need to be extremely focused and have lots of patience. When being a photographer, taking photos can require a lot of time, as they need to be unique and perfect. Having a creative mind can allow for anything to be composed into a beautiful and amazing photo.

An eye for detail: When looking at something whether it be an object or landscape a photographer will need to look at all of the elements e.g. lighting, composition and the subject. Through looking at all of these elements the photographer can make the photo truly how they intended. Although people are just looking and appreciating the photo the work that goes into it is tremendous and really is an art.

Having people skills: When doing photography it can be important to work with people this may be people such as: a client, model or even another photographer. Networking is another part of people skills and can also make sure that they know people in the business and can make new potential clients etc.

In order to keep the whole team running smoothly it is important to communicate with the whole team ensuring everyone is on track.

There will always be a hierarchy system in place to keep order and this means there will always be people above and below you so it is important that you interact with these people with respect in order to keep those above you happy and those below you productive and working to a good standard as they have a good team to work with and make sure everyone involved is productive.
